Molecular Ecology Group

The Molecular Ecology group research is focused on population genetics and genomics of marine species and on conservation genetics of endangered fish species. The approaches used range from classical genetic markers to next generation sequencing methodologies which are applied to different non-model organisms.

  • Application of classical genetic approaches and of Illumina-based RAD-sequencing to the identification of species specific genetic markers suitable for species identification
